These old beauties are getting hard to find in very good condition. I had a badly pitted barrel, likely from black
powder loads in it's early days. Was almost going to have Douglas make a barrel, when one found me. I had
posted on every Remington board around and this one was pretty nice. Good clean rifling and looks like it'll
shoot nice and clean up easy. Tom Brinson of New Bern helped me greatly with his skill in swapping out the old
part, and installing the new one and it's barrel bushing. Bought a 120 rounds of Hornady 200 gr and will get out
when the warmer weather starts and give it a workout.
