Just spent some time on Oahu with a friend who shot competition using 308 Win or 7.62x51 if you are of that persuasion. In my years playing with loads, I used neither of these powders. Although popularity of Varget was very high. The old timers used 4895. I shot some Ramshot TAC, but experienced a gummy residue in the bore a few inches from the chamber. This ruined accuracy until cleaned up. I could only shoot about 20 rounds before cleaning.
I was shooting 175gr mil surplus pulls for the most part, but had best accuracy with Sierra 155 Palma Boat tail.
Just thought I'd see what others experienced.
