Concrete Driveways
NC-CONCRETE constructs driveway expansions to fulfill your desire. We contour the surface to match existing drainage patterns and insert control joints at regular intervals to make sure unsightly cracks don't occur randomly in your project. Cracking is a normal condition for concrete, but through the use of a grooving tool, or saw-cutting the crack locations can be pre-determined, and will occur out of sight from the surface. We typically insert crack control joints at no greater than 60" intervals. Surfaces saw-cut the following day in lieu of grooving are more suitable for indoor use, or garage floors where tool boxes or automotive creepers may be used. Saw cuts are made to a depth of 25% of the concrete thickness with a diamond blade saw.. This is an additional cost item, but worth it for certain applications.
