Patio
NC-CONCRETE can assisst you in designing your ideal patio. We start by preventing damage to the foundation of your home by installing an expansion joint which relieves the stress as your new patio expands and contracts in a daily cycle of heating and cooling. NC-Concrete's no compromise sound Engineering practices mean no disappointment.
We recommend adding a walkway from the patio to the side garage door, and to a pad for trash cans near your side gate. We also lay an 8" wide strip under a gates to provide a stable point to secure the gate, and protection against your pet's effort to dig out.
Our work is done with care, graded for proper drainage and is flat as a pool table . No puddles of standing water in our work. You get what you pay for... Pay a little more and get a job that you will be proud to show to your friends and family.
Carteret, Craven, and Onslow County code requires any building with a dimension of 12' or more in height, width, or depth to have a permit. Consider this when making plans for your patio. A section of covered patio is desirable to keep the pesky bugs off you and your BBQ, but be sure that this covered area is "detached" from your home unless you want to have it classified as a much more costly to build "room addition". You can have your cake and eat it too. Design within the constraints, and you'll save money.
We recommend speaking to your County permit department prior to starting on your project. We see many covered patio designs shown on the Internet which are really "room additions" with access through an outside doorway. Be aware these require a heavy footing which rasises your materials and labor cost.
